Today was fun. Erin and I met up with her friend Angela and her family again today to spend the day at Sea World. Actually, Erin and I were a little early so we went on a little drive of Ocean Beach. I took her to Sunset Cliffs and we looked out over the Pacific. It was very relaxing...although Sunset Cliffs don't really live up to their name at 9:30 in the morning. We spent pretty much the whole day at Sea World and Natalie had a really good time. Well, at least she seemed to. She only got grumpy a couple times and she was even able to take a nap in her stroller for about an hour. Erin bought lots of cool new stuff for Natalie so she could have it to remember her first Sea World experience. She probably won't remember much since she's 8 1/2 months so it was completely justifiable to buy all the stuff. Besides, Anheuser-Busch saved us $138 in entrance fee's by allowing all military to enter the park for free. We pretty much did everything there was to do at the park. The dolphin show is under construction until May so that was kind of a bummer but we saw all the other shows. Angela, her husband Drai and their daughter Neveah went on the Wild Rapids ride and got completely soaked...at least I thought we did until Drai and Neveah got back from the Atlantis ride and Drai looked like he had been thrown into a pool. He was literally dripping wet. I was very happy that I wasn't on that ride, but felt bad for him because it was the end of the day, the sun was starting to disappear behind some clouds and the breeze was picking up. Luckily for him, we all left very shortly after.
After we left the park Angela's family went back to their hotel and then we met up back at our apartment to watch the Superbowl that I had set to record on the DVR...or so I thought. It turns out that in my haste to set the DVR to record, I only recorded the pre-game show and most of the first quarter. So by the time we got home halftime was ending. I set that to record so we could watch the last half of the game after we'd watched the first quarter. We ordered the pizza and watched what was recorded and I'm happy to say that my team won. By my team I mean the team I was rooting for...I really have nothing invested in the Saints but congratulations to them. WHO DAT!I go back to work tomorrow for the next four days. I'm not really looking forward to it because I just feel like this weekend went by so fast. I am, however, looking forward to celebrating Erin's birthday on Tuesday, my mom coming for a visit starting Wednesday, and my birthday next Sunday!
